Yi Quan TAN

Dr Tan Yi Quan is a Urologist at both Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and National University Hospital in Singapore. Dr Tan graduated from the National University of Singapore as the top surgical graduate, and was awarded the First Mekie Book Prize and Distinction in Surgery. Dr Tan’s subspeciality interests are in Minimally Invasive Stone Surgery, Complex Urinary Stone Disease, and Minimally Invasive Surgical Therapy (MIST) for BPH. He is part of a dynamic Endourology team at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, who are frequently among the earliest adopters of new technology and concepts in the region. Dr Tan leads the BPH MIST programme at his centre, and was the first Urologist in Singapore accredited to perform the iTIND procedure for BPH. Dr Tan completed an International Endourology Fellowship at the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University. Dr Tan has also been awarded the prestigious Japanese Urological Association (JUA) Asian Scholarship to visit Tokai University Hospital in Tokyo, Japan. Dr Tan actively contributes to Urology education through his regular involvement in various international workshops and conferences. Dr Tan is an invited Associate Member of the Asian Urological Society of Endoluminal Surgery and Technology (AUSET), and also serves as a Youth Member of the International Alliance of Urolithiasis (IAU).

Dr Chan Hoi Chak Wilson is Consultant Urologist in Department of Surgery, North District Hospital. Dr Chan graduated in CUHK in 2006 and obtained his Fellowship of Urology in 2015. Lysander H CHAU

He graduated from The University of Hong Kong in 2000. He completed urological training and obtained Fellowship in Urology in Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2008. Since 2009, He was appointed to be associate consultant in Urology Team in HKEC and then in KEC in 2010. From 10/2017 onwards, he worked as a consultant in NTWC helping to develop endo-urological ambulatory urology services and cross-cluster robotic urological surgery. He is the first one in Hong Kong to introduce navigation system in management of renal stone using PCNL. The procedure was granted one of the honorable video in the Award Winning Video Session in AUA 2014 and he would like to share the experience with the rest world. At present he tries to promote supine PCNL together with ECIRS to maximize complex stone clearance in Hong Kong, both public and private practice.

Dr. Hongri (Richard) Gu is currently an Assistant Professor in the Division of Integrative Systems and Design (ISD) at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Zhejiang University in 2014, during which he also participated in the Young Scientist Exchange Program (YSEP) at Tokyo Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2014. In 2016, he completed his Master’s degree in Micro and Nanosystems at ETH Zurich. From 2017 to 2021, Dr. Gu conducted his doctoral research at the Multi-Scale Robotics Lab, ETH Zurich, under the supervision of Prof. Bradley Nelson. Before joining private sector, he was an associate consultant in United Christian Hospital actively participating in the development of oncology services in Kowloon East Cluster. He has a particular interest in genitourinary (GU) cancers, hepatobiliary pancreatic (HBP) cancers and breast cancers and was an active member in multidisciplinary meetings working in close collaborations with surgeons, radiologists and pathologists in managing cancer patients. He also has expertise on using SBRT in treating tumours in liver and lungs, spinal metastases and oligometastases. His publication titled ‘Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy for Hepatocellular Carcinoma: Review of a Local Hospital’ was awarded the best original article of the Hong Kong Journal of Radiology in 2018.

He has great interest in clinical trials and research. He involved in various international phase III clinical trials in GU, HBP and breast cancers. He also obtained his master degree in medical sciences in 2022 with the dissertation titled ‘Expression of splice variant AR-v7 of the androgen receptor gene in breast cancer’.   

He served as an assistant editor in the Hong Kong Journal of Radiology in 2018-2020 and is now a council member of Hong Kong Society of Uro-Oncology, Hong Kong SBRT Study Group and Hong Kong Cancer Therapy Society.

Thomas YC LAM

Dr Lam obtained his medical degree from The University of Hong Kong in 2004. Dr Lam clinical and research interest includes Robotic Urological Surgery, Focal Therapy for prostate cancer (Cryotherapy) and minimally invasive therapy for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). He was mentor of robotic urological surgery and presented his case series and experience of Retzius-sparing Robotic Prostatectomy, Robotic Nephrectomy with Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) Thrombectomy, Robotic Partial Nephrectomy for totally endophytic tumor, Robotic Cystectomy with Intra-corporeal ileal conduit reconstruction in regional and local conference.

Dr Lam introduced Cryotherapy for prostate cancer in Hospital Authority. He was the principal investigator of cryoablation of prostate tumor study and published investigation findings in international journal. Dr Lam was also supervisor of the study of water vapor therapy (REZUM) for BPH patient in which the results had been presented in various scientific meetings.

Dr Li is currently serving as a consultant urologist in Pok Oi Hospital, honorary clinical associate professor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, President of the Hong Kong Society of Endourology, and faculty in Asian Urological Surgery Training and Educational Group (AUSTEG).  

Dr Li has a strong interest in the management of urolithiasis. He introduced free-hand, ultrasound-guided puncture; and popularized supine, miniaturized PCNL/ECIRS in Hong Kong. He is dedicated to improve stone surgery, and to propagate the use of ECIRS.

Alex QY LIU

Dr Alex Liu is currently the Assistant Professor at the Divison of Urology, Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). After his primary medical degree, he completed his Master of Science with distinction from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), with a focus in clinical trials methodology. He received his specialty training in Hong Kong, and obtained fellowship in urology from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) and the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong (CSHK). During his training, his research work received multiple awards and accolades, including the Samuel Kwok Medal for Outstanding Research, the CSHK Best Research Award, and the European Association of Urology (EAU) Best Abstract Award Second Prize (Non-oncology).

Dr Liu's research interest is on the application of big data and artificial intelligence (AI) in answering clinical questions as well as aiding surgical practice. He is an active member of EAU's UroEvidenceHub (UEH) PIONEER project on prostate cancer big data collaboration group. He is also a full member of the EAU Young Academic Urologists (infection working group), and is dedicated to high quality research work in this area.

Ka Lun LO

Dr. Lo Ka Lun is currently the Honorary Clinical Associate Professor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.   

His special interests are endoscopic enucleation of the prostate, minimal invasive surgical therapy of BPH, systemic and MRI-USG fusion transperineal prostate biopsies, fiducial gold markers implantation and rectal spacer injection.   

For BipoLEP, he has performed live surgery demonstration and acted as a moderator of BipoLEP in SIU eGrand Rounds in 2018 and 2019 respectively.    

For TPUS Bx, he has organized Hong Kong Freehand Transperineal Prostate Biopsy Workshop in the 10th Hong Kong Urology Symposium, 2018. During the Workshop, he also performed live demonstra-tions of systemic and MRI-USG fusion transperineal prostate biopsies.

Neeraj MAHBOOBANI

Dr Mahboobani attained his primary medical qualification from The University of Hong Kong, after which he underwent residency training in radiology in Princess Margaret Hospital. He completed his residency training in 2017 and joined the Department of Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology in Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in 2018 where his main area of work was in diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology. He is a Credentialled Specialist under the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine Credentialling for Endovascular Neurointerventional Procedures, and is accredited by Hong Kong College of Radiologists in the Subspecialty of Interventional Radiology. He was a key member in the establishment of the multi-disciplinary intra-arterial thrombectomy service for acute ischaemic stroke in QEH, and was actively involved in the planning and development of the Neuroscience Centre in the future New Acute Hospital in Kai Tak. He joined the Department of Imaging and Interventional Radiology, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2025.   

Dr Mahboobani has also been actively involved in the use and adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in radiology. He is the Convener of the Task Force on Artificial Intelligence under the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine and the Chairman of the Artificial Intelligence Subcommittee of Hong Kong College of Radiologists. He played a central role in the territory wide implementation of AI for the detection of acute intracranial haemorrhage and midline shift on non-contrast CT brain scans in 17 public hospitals in Hong Kong.

Dr NG Chi Fai, Anthony is Professor of Division of Urology, Department of Surgery. He has research interests in stone diseases and prostate diseases. He has more than 200 peer-reviewed publications and nearly twenty book chapters written over the years.  Besides his effort in basic and clinical research, he is also devoted to improve the care of his patients and urology care in Hong Kong and the region.

He has led his team to revolutionise the diagnostic approach and management of prostate cancer in the territory. His research has supported the use of new diagnostic test, Prostate Health Index, in Hong Kong and also Asia to improve the diagnostic yield of prostate biopsy and minimise complications. He is also one of the pioneers in robotic surgery for prostate cancer, which greatly improve the quality of life for these patients. He has performed the first robotic prostatectomy by the new da Vinci SP® system in Asia. He is also leading the robotic training program in our institutes.

He has extensive collaborations with local institutes and also other regional and worldwide centres to facilitate research and care improvement.

Together with the paediatric surgery colleagues, he established the Youth Urological Treatment Centre which provide one-stop service for patients with urological complications secondary to substance abuse. This is the first of the kind to provide wholistic care for these patients.

Prof Ng is also keen in professional training and knowledge transfer. He has founded Asian Urological Surgery Training and Educational Group (AUSTEG) to lead regional training to young urologists in Asia.

Darren MC POON

Dr Darren Poon is an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and an Honorary Consultant in Clinical Oncology at both Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital and Prince of Wales Hospital, Hong Kong. He is an expert panel member of the Advanced Prostate Cancer Consensus Conference (APCCC) and the Asia-Pacific Advanced Prostate Cancer Consensus Conference (APAC-APCCC), and he served on the Scientific Committee for the Genitourinary Tumours track at the ESMO Asia Congress from 2024 to 2026. He sits on the editorial boards of Cancers, BMC Oncology, and Chinese Clinical Oncology, and serves as a Topic Editor for Frontiers in Oncology and Cancers.   

Dr Poon’s principal clinical interest is genitourinary (GU) oncology, with additional expertise in neurooncology, hepatopancreatic cancer, and head and neck cancer. His research interests include imageguided radiotherapy, stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), and the development of novel therapeutic strategies for genitourinary malignancies. He pioneered the use of SBRT for prostate cancer in Hong Kong and is recognized as a leading figure in the introduction and clinical application of MRI-guided radiotherapy for prostate cancer in the Asia–Pacific region. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed articles, reviews, and abstracts, and is a co-author of the 10th and 11th editions of Fast Facts: Prostate Cancer. Over the past decade, he has convened and co-authored multiple local and regional multidisciplinary consensus statements across the spectrum of genitourinary malignancies, contributing to practice-changing guidance and advancing standards of care for prostate, bladder, and kidney cancers in Hong Kong and the Asia–Pacific region.

He was appointed as Consultant & Chief of the Division of Urology, Department of Surgery, United Christian Hospital in 2010 and Deputizing Chief of Service, Department of Surgery, Tseung Kwan O Hospital in 2020-2022. Po Chor TAM

Dr Tam obtained his medical degree from The University of Hong Kong in 1983. He subsequently received his urological training at Queen Mary Hospital. In 1985, he was awarded the Howard Eddey Medal of Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.   

He was elected as Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1988 and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1990. In 1991, Dr Tam was presented with The Commonwealth Medical Fellowship Award for undertaking one year of advanced urology training in England. He subsequently obtained the Intercollegiate Urology Fellowship in the same year. Dr Tam became the Foundation Fellow of The College of Surgeons of Hong Kong and Foundation Fellow in surgery of The Hong Kong Academy in Medicine.   

From 1984 to 2011, Dr Tam served at Queen Mary Hospital and Tung Wah Hospital. He was Lecturer-in –Charge of the Urology Team of the University Surgical Unit from 1989 to 1993, and Chief of Service of the University Surgical Unit of Tung Wah Hospital from 1993 to 1997. From 1997 to 2011, Dr Tam was the Consultant Surgeon and Chief of Urology of Queen Mary Hospital and Tung Wah Hospital. In April 2011, he joined the Hong Kong Urology Clinic.   

Dr Tam has focused his clinical and research interest on Robotic Urological Surgery, the treatment of prostate cancer, bladder cancer and kidney cancer as well as male infertility. He was the Director of Robotic Surgery Programme at Queen Mary Hospital from 2007 to 2011.   

Dr Tam is also actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate training. He is currently the Honorary Clinical Professor of The University of Hong Kong. A graduate of The University of Hong Kong, Clinical Assistant Professor Wong Ting Fung (Thomas) specializes in reconstructive urology, urological oncology, and robotic surgery at HKU and Queen Mary Hospital. As Clinical Lead for the territory’s reconstructive urology service, Professor Wong focuses on complex upper and lower tract reconstruction, while advancing the regional adoption of robotic-assisted transplant and minimally invasive surgical programs. A leader in male voiding dysfunction, he was the first surgeon in Asia to introduce the latest-generation Adjustable Transobturator Male System (ATOMS) for post-prostatectomy incontinence.   

Professor Wong completed advanced post-fellowship training in complex reconstructive surgery at Macquarie University Hospital in Sydney under Professor Vincent Tse, Shanghai Sixth People’s Hospital under Professor Fu Qiang, and Peking University First Hospital under Professor Li Xuesong. Internationally recognized for surgical education, he leads advancedo training platforms including the HKU Male Incontinence Masterclass and co-organizes the HKU–ESEUT Robotic and Laparoscopic Urology Masterclass in collaboration with the EAU Section of Uro-Technology.

Dr Steffi Yuen has been appointed as the first Li Shu Fan International Professor by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh for her global collaborative research on the latest cutting-edge technology in endourology. Through the initiative of the Global FLEXible Ureteroscopy Outcomes Registry—focusing on flexible and navigable suction ureteral access sheaths (FLEXOR-FANS), she unites the global endourology community in generating prospective real‑world data on suction-based technology. She aims to refine patient selection, optimize practice and technique, and evaluate real-world efficacy and safety across diverse clinical settings with the latest suction-based urolithiasis treatment.   

A specialist in endourology and minimally invasive surgery, she is passionate about the clinical integration of cutting-edge technologies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, including next-generation ureteroscopes, intelligent intrarenal pressure, temperature and fluid management platforms, and novel robotic retrograde intrarenal surgery/ percutaneous nephrolithotomy and laser systems. She was the architect of her hospital’s comprehensive lower urinary tract symptoms/ benign prostatic hyperplasia pathway, encompassing the full spectrum of minimally invasive surgical therapies.

Dr. YIU is Honorary Consultant in Urology of the Hong Kong Sanatorium and Hospital. He was the Chief of the Division of Urology at the University of Hong Kong, Queen Mary Hospital from 2011 to 2017. He received his medical education at The University of Hong Kong, he started his Surgical Training in Hong Kong. He obtained his Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1989 and Diploma in Urology from the University of London in 1995. He was the Chief of Urology in Princess Margaret Hospital from 2007-2011 and was subsequently moved to QMH to lead the Urology Division since September 2011. He is the Honorary Clinical Professor in Surgery in the University of Hong Kong. He is the Foundation Fellow of the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong as well as The Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. He has been the President of Hong Kong Urological Association 2008-2010, the Honorary Treasurer of the Hong Kong Society of Transplantation 2009-2013. A/Prof Edmund Chiong graduated with the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1995. He obtained postgraduate qualifications (Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons In Ireland) in Surgery and completed his Urology specialist training in Singapore. A/Prof Chiong subsequently completed a two-year clinical fellowship program in Urologic Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, USA.  He is also certified by the Society of Urologic Oncology, USA.

A/Prof Chiong's subspecialty interests include managing and performing surgery for prostate cancers, bladder cancers, kidney cancers, testes cancers, penile cancers, and performing robotic surgery and prostate cancer high-dose rate brachytherapy. A/Prof Chiong also manages general urologic diseases and is a kidney transplant surgeon with the Ministry of Health's renal transplantation team. Apart from clinical practice, A/Prof Chiong is actively involved in both clinical and laboratory research. His research interests include diagnostic modalities and new therapies for bladder cancer (including immunotherapy, gene therapy and targeted therapy), prostate cancer and other urologic malignancies. He has minor interests in investigating urinary tract infections, and medical device innovation.

He is an investigator in a number of grant-funded, clinical and basic science research projects. He was conferred a PhD (NUS) for his thesis on targeted therapy for bladder cancer. He also runs a number of clinical trials in bladder and prostate cancer. A/Prof Chiong has received more than 35 academic and fellowship awards, authored or co-authored a number of papers in peer-reviewed journals, and have presented more than 350 lectures and abstracts at regional or international scientific meetings. He is also a reviewer for many leading international urology and cancer journals.

A/Prof Chiong is currently Chairman of the Chapter of Urologists (College of Surgeons), Academy of Medicine, Singapore, is Past President (2016-2018) and current Board of Trustees member of the Singapore Urological Association, and Chairman of the Examinations Committee for Urology and Board member, Residency Advisory Committee / Joint Committee on Specialist Training (JCST), Ministry of Health, Singapore. Dr. Bukavina is an assistant professor of Urologic Oncology at Cleveland Clinic Glickman Urologic Institute, and translational science lead in GU oncology at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. Dr. Bukavina completed her training at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in urologic oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center. In addition to her surgical training, she holds a master's degree in epidemiology from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and a master's degree in immunology and molecular genetics from Drexel. Her educational background reflects her commitment to both surgery and cancer research.   

Dr. Bukavina is a recipient of multiple grants and awards for her dedication to bladder and kidney cancer research, including the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Data for Action, Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network Young Investigator, American Urologic Association (AUA) Research Scholar and Society of Women in Urology (SWIU) Elizabeth Pickett Award. She has been recognized for her research evaluating the interplay between genetics, microbiome, and tumor microenvironment. Further, her recognition by the American Association of Cancer Research (AACR) as one of the Top Women in Cancer Research underscores her standing as a pioneering figure among women cancer surgeon scientists.   She serves as an associate editor of European Urology and a member of the editorial board for Urology Times. She also serves on the International Bladder Cancer Network committee and as an expert for kidney cancer for the Society of Immunotherapy of Cancer, underscoring her commitment to advancing research and innovation in bladder and kidney cancer.   

Dr. Bukavina is committed to enhancing bladder cancer treatment by pioneering surgical innovations, such as enhancing neobladder procedures and pelvic floor reconstruction with nerve preservation. Additionally, she has extensive experience in hereditary renal cell carcinoma and renal preservation for both primary and recurrent kidney cancer.   

On a personal note, Dr. Bukavina's philanthropy is dedicated to providing reconstructive and oncology care in Ukraine. She regularly assists both veterans and refugees with these needs. She has participated in multiple surgical missions to enhance urological care abroad.

Brian SH HO

Dr Brian Ho is a Honorary Clinical Associate Professor with the University of Hong Kong and a Honorary Consultant in the Division of Urology, Department of Surgery in Queen Mary Hospital.  He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in the University of Hong Kong in 2006 and obtained his Fellowship in Urology from the Hong Kong College of Surgeons and from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2014.  He has a special interest in stone disease, endourology and robotic surgery. Dr. Dinglan Wu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery, Faculty of medicine, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Dr. Wu obtained her PhD from CUHK (2009-2012), focusing on oncology research. Following her doctoral studies, she served as a postdoctoral fellow and research associate at CUHK (2013-2016) and as a Senior Visiting Scholar at Nanyang Technological University in 2022. Prior to joining CUHK as a faculty member, Dr. Wu held pivotal roles at the Clinical Innovation & Research Centre (CIRC) of Shenzhen Hospital, Southern Medical University, serving as an Associate Research Scientist, Research Scientist, and the Director of CIRC. 

Dr. Wu research delves into the mechanisms of hormone resistance and bone metastasis in prostate cancer and tumor immune microenvironment of solid tumors, particular in glioblastoma. She has successfully led several projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the Guangdong Natural Science Foundation, and the Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Committee. She published more than 40 SCI papers in high-impact journals such as iScience, Nature Microbiology, The Journal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer, Oncogene etc. She is also actively engaged in postgraduate education, supervising PhD, master's, and postdoctoral students.

Hongda ZHAO

Hongda Zhao is a postdoctoral researcher specializing in patient-derived organoids (PDOs), drug resistance, and multi-omics analysis. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2023. Since then, he has been working with Prof. Chi-Fai Ng and Prof. Jeremy Yuen Chun Teoh in the Department of Surgery at CUHK. Together with his colleagues, Dr. Zhao focuses on the development and application of bladder cancer PDOs for drug screening, immunotherapy modeling, and mechanistic studies. He contributed to establishing the world’s first bladder cancer PDO biobank based on an Asian population and investigated resistance mechanisms to cisplatin, FGFR inhibitor, and Nectin-4 ADC drugs. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals including Advanced Science, European Urology Oncology, BMC Urology, and Scientific Reports, and serves as an invited reviewer for several international journals.

Jeremy YC TEOH

Dr Jeremy Teoh is currently the Assistant Dean (External Affairs) and Professor of the Faculty of medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has primary interests in bladder cancer and prostate cancer. For bladder cancer, he is leading a multi-centre randomized controlled trial on transurethral en bloc resection of bladder tumour. He has also developed a global consensus statement to standardize the en bloc resection approach. He is currently studying the urinary biomarkers, tumour heterogeneity and molecular classification of bladder cancer. For prostate cancer, he has published extensively on the adverse events related to androgen deprivation therapy. He has also helped conduct a clinical trial on the use of the da Vinci Single-Port Surgical System in radical prostatectomy.

Jeremy was awarded the Ten Outstanding Young Persons Award (Hong Kong) and the SIU-Innovators Award in 2021. He has received numerous research grants with a total funding of more than HKD 80 million. He has published more than 200 articles in peer-reviewed journals such as Nature Reviews Urology, European Urology, Journal of Urology and Annals of Surgery. He is an editorial board member for a number of prominent journals, and he has been serving as a member for several advisory boards for prostate cancer and bladder cancer. Jeremy was the Chairperson of the Younger Fellows Chapter of the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong (2019-2021), the Chair of the Young Fellows Chapter of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (2021-2022), and he has been the Director of the Lions Kidney Educational Centre & Research Foundation since 2016. Peter KF CHIU

Dr Peter Chiu is currently a Professor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has primary interests in prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia. For prostate cancer, he has conducted studies in novel diagnostic modalities including blood biomarker prostate health index (phi), urine biomarker spermine, and transperineal MRI-Ultrasound fusion biopsy. He is the principal investigator of SMART trial, a multicentre randomized controlled trial in comparing MRI prostate pathway and extended transperineal prostate biopsy pathway in the diagnosis of significant prostate cancer. He is also leading a study on using biomarkers and MRI for prostate cancer screening in Hong Kong as part of the CUHK Jockey club multi-cancer screening program.

Dr Chiu was involved in the initiation of focal therapy service (HIFU and Cryotherapy) for prostate cancer in Hong Kong, and is the principal investigator of a phase 2 clinical trial on Targeted Microwave Ablation (TMA) for prostate cancer. For treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, he has conducted research in water vapour thermal therapy (REZUM), prostate artery embolization (PAE) and photoselective vaporization of prostate (PVP). He has received numerous research funding and has published more than 90 articles in peer-reviewed journals including European Urology, European Urology Oncology, Journal of Urology, BJU International, and Prostate Cancer and Prostatic diseases.

Dr. Samuel Chi-Hang YEE graduated from The University of Hong Kong and obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has been with Prince of Wales Hospital, the Chinese University of Hong Kong since 2006. 

Dr. Yee completed the Advanced Clinical Fellowship in Laparoscopy and Robotic Urology at the Institut Mutualiste Montsouris in Paris with the Sir Robert Black Trust Fund Scholarship. He furthered his training of robotic surgery in Yonsei University in Seoul. Being awarded the Hong Kong Kidney Foundation Fellowship, Dr. Yee has advanced his surgical experience in transplant and urological surgery in University of Illinois in Chicago, and Fundacio Puigvert in Barcelona. Dr. Yee has published more than 80 peer-reviewed manuscripts, and he has pioneered the first series of cases of HIFU focal therapy and cryotherapy for prostate cancer in Hong Kong.
