Dr Peter Chiu is currently an Associate Professor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has primary interests in prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia. For prostate cancer, he has conducted studies in novel diagnostic modalities including blood biomarker prostate health index (phi), urine biomarker spermine, and transperineal MRI-Ultrasound fusion biopsy. He is the principal investigator of SMART trial, a multicentre randomized controlled trial in comparing MRI prostate pathway and extended transperineal prostate biopsy pathway in the diagnosis of significant prostate cancer. He is also leading a study on using biomarkers and MRI for prostate cancer screening in Hong Kong as part of the CUHK Jockey club multi-cancer screening program.

Dr Chiu was involved in the initiation of focal therapy service (HIFU and Cryotherapy) for prostate cancer in Hong Kong, and is the principal investigator of a phase 2 clinical trial on Targeted Microwave Ablation (TMA) for prostate cancer. For treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, he has conducted research in water vapour thermal therapy (REZUM), prostate artery embolization (PAE) and photoselective vaporization of prostate (PVP). He has received numerous research funding and has published more than 90 articles in peer-reviewed journals including European Urology, European Urology Oncology, Journal of Urology, BJU International, and Prostate Cancer and Prostatic diseases.

Dr Chiu is currently the President of the Hong Kong Urological Association (HKUA).

Dr. Samuel Chi-Hang YEE graduated from The University of Hong Kong and obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has been with Prince of Wales Hospital, the Chinese University of Hong Kong since 2006. 

Dr. Yee completed the Advanced Clinical Fellowship in Laparoscopy and Robotic Urology at the Institut Mutualiste Montsouris in Paris with the Sir Robert Black Trust Fund Scholarship. He furthered his training of robotic surgery in Yonsei University in Seoul. Being awarded the Hong Kong Kidney Foundation Fellowship, Dr. Yee has advanced his surgical experience in transplant and urological surgery in University of Illinois in Chicago, and Fundacio Puigvert in Barcelona. Dr. Yee has published more than 80 peer-reviewed manuscripts, and he has pioneered the first series of cases of HIFU focal therapy and cryotherapy for prostate cancer in Hong Kong. 

Dr. Yee currently holds the positions of consultant urologist and deputy chief of service of Department of Surgery at the Prince of Wales Hospital, honorary clinical associate professor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, board member of East Asian Society of Endourology, council member of Société Internationale d'Urologie (SIU) Academy Education Council, honorary secretary of the Hong Kong Society of Endourology, council member of the Hong Kong Urological Association, consulting editor of BJUI Knowledge and associate editor of Surgical Practice.

Dr Giovanni Cacciamani is a urologist and surgeon-scientist, recognized internationally for his contributions to oncological diseases, patient safety, and the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into healthcare. He is an Associate Professor of Urology and Radiology Research at the University of Southern California (USC), USA and serves as the Director of the Artificial Intelligence Center for Surgical and Clinical Applications in Urology with cutting-edge research initiatives at the intersection of urology, technology, and clinical innovation.
    
Dr Cacciamani is also actively involved in shaping the future of AI and digital health in urology on a global scale. He chairs the Young Academic Urologists (YAU) UroTechnology and Digital Healthcare Group of the European Association of Urology (EAU), a role through which he promotes technological advancements and digital transformation in the field of Urology. He serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Urology, for the section on Innovation and AI.    

His dedication to healthcare innovation has been widely recognized. In 2022, he was honored as Citizen of the Year (Italy) for his pioneering work in medical technology, and he received the Italian Matula Award, the most prestigious recognition for the best Italian urologist under 40.    

Dr Cacciamani has authored approximately 350 scientific publications (H-Index 40) and has delivered over 200 lectures worldwide on emerging technologies, AI, and digital medicine applications in urology. Dr. Sia Daneshmand is a Professor of Urology and Medicine (Oncology) with Clinical Scholar designation at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles. He serves as the Director of Urologic Oncology and the Fellowship Director for the Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO) Fellowship. His primary clinical interests include bladder cancer, testicular cancer, and advanced kidney cancer.    

Dr. Daneshmand is a leading authority in the management of complex germ cell tumors and nerve-sparing retroperitoneal lymph node dissection (RPLND) following chemotherapy for advanced testicular cancer. He is among the highest-volume surgeons for this disease in the country. His research focuses on optimizing perioperative outcomes following radical cystectomy and post-chemotherapy RPLND, utilizing serum and molecular markers, and integrating new technologies in the diagnosis and management of bladder and testicular cancers. He also investigates functional outcomes following orthotopic urinary diversion.    

Dr. Daneshmand serves on the American Urological Association (AUA) Guidelines Panels for both non-muscle invasive bladder cancer and testicular cancer. He is the Chair of the Bladder Cancer Section of the SUO Clinical Trials Consortium (SUO-CTC) and a member of the scientific steering committees for several bladder cancer clinical trials. He has led over a dozen clinical trials in bladder cancer, as well as a pivotal investigator-initiated, multi-institutional trial in testicular cancer (SEMS). He is the President-Elect of the Western Section of the AUA and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. For 15 consecutive years, he has been recognized as one of "America’s Top Cancer Doctors." A career leader in academic research on bladder cancer and germ cell tumors, he also serves as Chair of the SWOG Local Bladder Cancer Committee. Dr. Daneshmand has been a visiting professor at more than 25 institutions worldwide and has presented over 500 abstracts at scientific meetings. I treat patients with pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, female voiding dysfunction, and vesicovaginal fistula (VVF). Benjamin PRADERE

Dr. Benjamin Pradere, earned his MD degree from the Urology and Oncology Unit at the University Hospital Center of Tours, France. He further honed his expertise through a year-long clinical and research fellowship sponsored by the Endourological Society, conducted at the Urology Department of Tenon Hospital, Paris, under the guidance of Prof. Traxer. During this period, Dr. Pradere made significant contributions to the field, focusing on innovative approaches to treating urothelial carcinoma and pioneering new technologies for its diagnosis, which garnered multiple prestigious awards.   

In 2019, he embarked on a journey with the Department of Urology at the Comprehensive Cancer Center, Medical University of Vienna, Austria, where he played a pivotal role in clinical research. Today, Dr. Pradere serves as a senior Urologist at La Croix Du Sud Hospital in France, with his primary emphasis on Urothelial Carcinoma and Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy (BPH). He maintains close collaborations with leading European University Hospitals, actively contributing to international research endeavors.   

For six years, Dr. Pradere led the executive committee of the French Association of Young Urologists (AFUF) and served as its Chairman. Under his leadership, the AFUF created invaluable educational and scientific content. He remains dedicated to shaping the future of urology and is actively engaged with the European Association of Urology (EAU), where he is part of both the Young Urologists Office (YUO) and the Young Academic Urology office (YAU), within the Urothelial working Group. Since 2015, Dr. Pradere has contributed as an Associate for the EAU Guidelines, initially in the Urological Infection panel, and later transitioning to the Non-Muscle-Invasive Bladder Cancer (NMIBC) and Upper Tract Urothelial Carcinoma (UTUC) guideline panels. In 2018, he took on an active role in the EAU Guidelines Dissemination Group. He also leads the Educational UroOnco Platform of the EAU, for the section dedicated to urothelial carcinoma.   

Within France, he continues to contribute significantly, serving on various scientific committees such as the committee for urothelial carcinoma (CCAFU) and the committee for male Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (CTMH). His commitment extends to nurturing the next generation of urologists, as he holds a position in the French College of Urologic Teachers.

Since 2022, he has been elected at the executive committee of the French Association of Urology (AFU), where he took the position of vice-treasure and is leading the communication committee. Dr. Pradere is a prolific author and co-author of over 400 peer-reviewed articles in esteemed international journals and has authored several influential book chapters. He also actively participates as a reviewer for numerous national and international journals. Furthermore, Dr. Pradere serves as an associate editor for several urological journals, including the World Journal of Urology, Progrès en Urology, and Actas Urologicas. Dr. Karl Marvin M. Tan is a Filipino Endourologist and Urology Training Leader currently serving as the Training Officer and Chief of Endourology at Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC) in Quezon City. With deep expertise in laser prostate enucleation, flexible ureteroscopy, and stone surgery, he is widely recognized for advancing minimally invasive techniques across the Philippines and Southeast Asia.

He is an Auditor and Executive Council Member of the Philippine Urological Association (PUA) and a Council Member of the Federation of ASEAN Urological Associations (FAUA). Dr. Jeffrey Tuan is the Head and Senior Consultant Radiation Oncologist in the Department of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary, Gastrointestinal, and Genitourinary Radiation Oncology in the Division of Radiation Oncology at the National Cancer Center Singapore (NCCS). He is also a Clinical Associate Professor in Oncology Academic Program (ACP) of the Duke-NUS medical school. He graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and holds a Master of Science in Oncology from the University of London. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR), United Kingdom and honorary treasurer of the College of Radiologists (CRS), Academy of Medicine Singapore (AMS).   

His clinical interests are in managing patients with urological and gynecological cancers using advanced radiation therapy techniques such as volumetric modulated arc therapy, stereotactic body radiotherapy, and brachytherapy. He spent 4 years training and pursuing research at both the Royal Marsden Hospital (RMH) and the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) in London, England, and at the Fondazione Centro Nazionale Adrotherapia Oncologia (CNAO) in Pavia, Italy.   

More recently, he has been actively involved in the set up of the new proton beam therapy center located in the National Cancer Center Singapore, which has been operational since 2023. He is involved in setting up and maintaining a large comprehensive prospective registry that tracks clinical outcomes, including PROMs, of patients treated with both conventional radiotherapy and proton beam therapy.

Henry CHOW

Dr Henry Chow was graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2014 and began his surgical and urological training in Princess Margaret Hospital in 2015. He obtained the Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and Fellowship of College of Surgeons of Hong Kong in 2022. He was awarded the CH Leong Medal and Scholarship in 2021 for his outstanding performance in his fellowship examination. He was also awarded the Distinguished Young Fellow by the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine in 2022.

Dr. Chow has special interest in surgery for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) and renal transplantation. He established the day surgery service for Minimally Invasive Surgical Therapy (MIST) for BPH in Princess Margaret Hospital. He is also one of the pioneers in Hong Kong in promoting the usage of MIST for catheter dependent BPH patients.

Dr. Chow is currently working in Princess Margaret Hospital as Associate Consultant. He is a Co-Opt Member of Hong Kong Urological Association and Honorary Secretary of Young Urologist Section in the Association. 

Peggy SK CHU

Dr Peggy CHU is the consultant urologist in Tuen Mun Hospital and the past president of the Hong Kong Urological Association, 2010-2012.

Dr CHU received her medical degree from the University of Hong Kong. She then received her urology training from Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Her overseas training took place at the Institute of Urology, University College London. After coming back from London, she continued to work in Queen Elizabeth Hospital until 2006; since then she continued her career in Tuen Mun Hospital.

Dr Peggy CHU specializes in reconstructive, neuro and female urology. She led the team, including urologists from Princess Margaret Hospital and toxicologists from United Christian Hospital, which reported the first 10 cases in Hong Kong with contracted bladder and upper urinary tract damage associated with ketamine abuse. This discovery has raised the Hong Kong Government’s and the community’s awareness of the social problems associated with Ketamine abuse. She also provided an affidavit to the Hong Kong High Court, thus leading to guidelines that are more stringent on sentencing of ketamine abuse since June 2008. Dr CHU received the Outstanding Staff Award from Hong Kong Hospital Authority in 2009.

Dr CHU is the trustee of British Journal of Urology International since June 2019. Dr CHU had delivered the UAA lecture in the AUA 2019 in Chicago.

Raymond WM KAN

Dr Kan obtained the fellowship in Urology from the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and was awarded the CH Leong Medal & Scholarship. He was elected distinguished young fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine.

He pursued his post-fellowship training under the auspices of Mrs Esther Wu Memorial Fund Scholarship. During his stay in Egypt, he was trained in post-cancer surgery reconstructive urology, and he then completed his training in incontinence care at University College London Hospitals.

Dr Kan is an active member in the field of laparoscopy and endourology. He was invited as guest speaker at different occasions in Singapore, Nepal, Mainland China and Taiwan. Ms. Lai is an experienced Urology Nurse. She was graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Bachelor of Nursing (Hons)) in 2007. She attained the Master of Science in Nursing in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2009. Ms. Lai further her studies in Urology and in 2012, she completed Post-Registration Certificate Course in Urology Nursing.

Thomas YC LAM

Dr Lam obtained his medical degree from The University of Hong Kong in 2004. In 2012, he was elected as Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Fellow of the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong, and Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. overseas training in kidney transplantation at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), United State.

From 2005 to 2023, Dr Lam served at the Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital and the Princess Margaret Hospital. From 2021 to 2023, he worked as the Urology Team Head and Consultant Urologist in the Princess Margaret Hospital. He was appointed as Vice Chairman of Urology Speciality Group of Hospital Authority in 2023. He joined private practice since January 2024. 

Dr Lam is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate surgical training. He was appointed as Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery of The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2016 and Honorary Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery of The University of Hong Kong since 2021. He was elected as Committee member of Urology Board of The College of Surgeons of Hong Kong and Examiner of The Membership Examination of Hong Kong Intercollegiate Board of Surgical Colleges in 2022.

Dr Lam clinical and research interest includes Robotic Urological Surgery, Focal Therapy for prostate cancer (Cryotherapy) and minimally invasive therapy for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). He was mentor of robotic urological surgery and presented his case series and experience of Retzius-sparing Robotic Prostatectomy, Robotic Nephrectomy with Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) Thrombectomy, Robotic Partial Nephrectomy for totally endophytic tumor, Robotic Cystectomy with Intra-corporeal ileal conduit reconstruction in regional and local conference.

Dr Lam introduced Cryotherapy for prostate cancer in Hospital Authority. He was the principal investigator of cryoablation of prostate tumor study and published investigation findings in international journal. Dr Lam was also supervisor of the study of water vapor therapy (REZUM) for BPH patient in which the results had been presented in various scientific meetings.

Wayne P LAM

Dr Wayne Lam obtained his undergraduate medical degree from King’s College London in the United Kingdom. He completed his urologic and sub-specialist training in London. He underwent a one-year dedicated fellowship training in advanced complex reconstructive urology under Professor Nick Watkin at St George’s University Hospital. He also obtained his postgraduate degree in Urology with distinction at University College London.

He has published extensively in all major urological journals, and sat on various urological editorial boards. He is a regularly invited speaker at major urological conferences, and carried out live reconstructive surgeries at international meetings.

Dr Joseph Li obtained a degree in medical science in 2007 and his medical degree in 2010 from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He holds fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburg and the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong.

Dr Li is currently serving as a consultant urologist in Pok Oi Hospital, honorary clinical associate professor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, President of the Hong Kong Society of Endourology, and faculty in Asian Urological Surgery Training and Educational Group (AUSTEG).

Dr Li has a strong interest in the management of urolithiasis. He introduced free-hand, ultrasound-guided puncture; and popularized supine, miniaturized PCNL/ECIRS in Hong Kong. He is dedicated to improve stone surgery, and to propagate the use of ECIRS.

Chi Wai MAN

Dr MAN is Consultant Urologist of Department of Surgery at Tuen Mun Hospital & Pok Oi Hospital. He had served as Chief of Service of the Department, Chairman of the Coordinating Committee of Surgery and Chairman of the Specialty Group in Urology Services in the Hospital Authority of Hong Kong. He is a general urologist with particular interest in bladder reconstruction, prostate cancer and stone disease. Dr Man graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 1981. He has been elected Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Glasgow, College of Surgeons of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. He is a Specialist in Urology in Hong Kong. He is holder of Diploma of Urology (London) with distinction and Schering Prize, and also Diploma of Child Health (London). In addition to his medical qualifications, Dr Man is also a Bachelor in Laws at Beijing University, China. In urology education, Dr Man has helped to establish higher urology training programmes at the Tuen Mun and Pok Oi Hospitals in Hong Kong. He is a member of the Board of Examiners for the joint Urology Examination of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK, and the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong. He is a Past President of the Hong Kong Urological Association and had served as Honorary Secretary of the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong, Chairman of the Urology Board and 1st vice President of the Federation of Medical Societies of Hong Kong. Wing Yan MAN

Ms. Man Wing Yan graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (with Honors) and a Master's degree in Nursing. In 2022, she earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Medical Genetics from CUHK and was awarded the Mr. and Mrs. Chang Un Lin Memorial Scholarship.

Ms. Man began her career as a nurse in the Department of Paediatrics at CUHK, where she played a key role in coordinating various programs, including the CUHK Newborn Metabolic Screening Program, Paediatric Genetic Clinic, O&G One-Stop Genetic Clinic, and the Private Genetic Clinic at the CUHK Medical Centre.

Since 2021, she has served as a genetic counsellor for the Hong Kong Genome Project at the Prince of Wales Hospital (PWH), one of the project’s partnering centres. She was subsequently appointed as an Advanced Practice Nurse and later as a Genetic Counsellor in the Adult Genetic Clinic at the Clinical Genetics and Genomics Unit in PWH. In these roles, she continues to provide genetic counselling to both adult and paediatric patients.

Ms. Man is also actively involved in public and professional events, aiming to raise awareness of rare diseases and foster support within patients, families, and the broader society.

Anthony CF NG

Dr NG Chi Fai, Anthony graduated in the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1993. He then joined Department of Surgery, Prince of Wales Hospital, as surgical trainee. After his basic training, he decided to become an urologist and became a specialist in 2001. Attracted by the rapid development in endourology, he spent one year in Scotland, worked under Mr David Tolley, and gained extensive experience in endo laparoscopic surgery and stone management.

After completion of his training, Dr Ng decided to join the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2006 and is currently Director of the S.H. Ho Urology Centre, Department of Surgery, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is also the Director of CUHK Jockey Club Minimally Invasive Surgical Skills Centre. He has a wide range of interest, in particular in prostate diseases, urolithiasis, and promotion of men’s health. He was also honored with the Outstanding Young Urologist Award in 2010 by the Asian Congress of Urology, the International Guest Scholar 2012 of the American College of Surgeons and the World Chinese Urology Association Award 2014, as recognitions to his work in the field.

Besides clinical and research work, Dr Ng has also strong commitment in education and teaching. He is currently member of the educational subcommittee of the Hong Kong Urological Association and also the council member of the College of Surgeon of Hong Kong and also the Urology Board of the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong. He is actively involved in the planning of the urological training in Hong Kong.

Also he has been awarded the Best teacher Award (2008-2009, 2011- 2012) of the Faculty of Medicine, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, for his contribution in undergraduate teaching. Ho Yin NGAI

Dr NGAI graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2002 and became a specialist in Urology since 2009 after ob­taining the Fellowship in Urology in The Royal College of Sur­geons of Edinburgh. 

He was admitted Fellow of Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Surgery) and Fellow of The College of Surgeons of Hong Kong. 

He received his post-graduate overseas training in University College London Hospitals and the Royal London Hospital, United Kingdom, on Andrology and Stone Surgery.  His clinical interest is on Andrology, Robotic surgery, Day surgery development and streamlining surgical pathways. He published a number of publications in peer reviewed journal, in particular related to metabolic syndrome.     

His paper on Green light Laser as Ambulatory Day Surgery for BPH was also award­ed best paper in annual scientific meeting of HKUA.

Darren MC POON

Dr Darren Poon is the Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Honorary Consultant in Clinical Oncology at both the Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital and Prince of Wales Hospital, Hong Kong. He also appointed as Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Hong Kong. He is the Associate Director of the Comprehensive Oncology Center, Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital. Currently, he is the vice-president of Hong Kong Society of Uro-Oncology (HKSUO).

 Dr. Poon’s main clinical interest is genitourinary (GU) cancer. Besides, he has several specialist areas of expertise, which include neuro-oncology, hepato-pancreatic cancer, and head and neck cancer. His research interests include image-guided radiotherapy, and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) as well as novel therapies for GU cancers. Dr Poon pioneered the use of SBRT in the treatment of prostate cancer in Hong Kong and is also the leading-pioneer in MRI-guided radiotherapy for prostate cancer in Asia-Pacific. He has published more than 100 original papers, scientific reviews, and abstracts in peer-reviewed journals and has co-authored the 10th edition of Fast Facts: Prostate Cancer. He is one of the expert panel members in the Advanced Prostate Cancer Consensus Conference (APCCC) from 2019 onwards, and the Asia Pacific Advanced Prostate Cancer Consensus Conference (APAC-APCCC) from 2020 onwards. He is also member of the scientific committee of Genitourinary tumours track at ESMO Asia Congress 2024 & 2025. 

Dr Poon has been an invited speaker at local and regional, and international conferences and is currently involved in several clinical trials investigating new therapies for urothelial, bladder, renal and prostate cancers. Besides, he is the editorial board member of BMC Oncology, Chinese Clinical Oncology, as well as the topic editor of Frontier in Oncology. 

Vincent YK POON

Dr. Poon Yick Kwan Vincent is a urology specialist currently working in the private sector. Previously he served as an Associate Consultant in the Department of Surgery, Princess Margaret Hospital Hong Kong. He received his urology training in Princess Margaret Hospital and continued his career there. He has fond interest in surgery related to benign prostatic hyperplasia, pioneering the LA Urolift service, bipolar enucleation of prostate, as well as thulium laser enucleation of prostate at PMH. He is also involved in the development of LA Rezum service at his workplace. He was the very first with hands on experience in LA Urolift surgery in the Hong Kong public sector. He is one of a few individuals in this locality who has mastered using Urolift for relieving urinary retention patients off indwelling catheters. He also has special interest in paediatric kidney transplantation surgery, he is heavily involved and has been helping to maintain such service in PMH. His dedication to improvement in urology service was acknowledged and was rewarded the PMH Young Achiever Award 2021.

His main interests are Laparoscopic and Robotic Urologic Surgery, Urodynamics and Pelvic Surgery. He had visited the European Institute of Telesurgery ( EITS ) in Strasbourg, France in 2005 and Cleveland Clinic, USA in 2006 and attended the Training Courses on Laparoscopic Urological Surgery there.

He was appointed as Consultant & Chief of the Division of Urology, Department of Surgery, United Christian Hospital in 2010 and Deputizing Chief of Service, Department of Surgery, Tseung Kwan O Hospital in 2020-2022. He is also the Honorary Clinical Supervisor of the College of Family Physicians (since 2006), Honorary Clinical Associate Professor of the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the University of Hong Kong (since 2010).

He was the Council Member of the Hong Kong Urological Association (2010-2014), and is currently the Committee Member of Urology Board, the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong, Member of Specialty Group in Urology Service, Hospital Authority and Programme Supervisor of Urology Training Programme in Kowloon East Cluster.

Dr. So has led the planning and commissioning of Urology & Lithotripsy Centre in UCH since 2011 and the centre equipped with ESWL suite will be in service in 2026. Besides, he also steers the development of robotic surgery in Kowloon East Cluster initially by cross-cluster collaboration in 2014 and then successfully bided a robotic surgical system and established the cluster service in 2022.

Besides the field of Urology, Dr. So is also interested in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Mandy HM TAM

Dr Tam obtained her medical degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2007. She completed her urology residency at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Hong Kong and obtained her fellowship from the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2014 and 2015 respectively.

She is now serving as a Consultant in the Urology division of the Prince of Wales Hospital, as well as an honorary clinical associate professor of The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Her subspecialty interests encompass renal transplant, uro-oncology and robotic surgeries.

Po Chor TAM

Dr Tam obtained his medical degree from The University of Hong Kong in 1983. He subsequently received his urological training at Queen Mary Hospital. In 1985, he was awarded the Howard Eddey Medal of Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

He was elected as Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1988 and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1990. In 1991, Dr Tam was presented with The Commonwealth Medical Fellowship Award for undertaking one year of advanced urology training in England. He subsequently obtained the Intercollegiate Urology Fellowship in the same year. Dr Tam became the Foundation Fellow of The College of Surgeons of Hong Kong and Foundation Fellow in surgery of The Hong Kong Academy in Medicine.

From 1984 to 2011, Dr Tam served at Queen Mary Hospital and Tung Wah Hospital. He was Lecturer-in –Charge of the Urology Team of the University Surgical Unit from 1989 to 1993, and Chief of Service of the University Surgical Unit of Tung Wah Hospital from 1993 to 1997. From 1997 to 2011, Dr Tam was the Consultant Surgeon and Chief of Urology of Queen Mary Hospital and Tung Wah Hospital. In April 2011, he joined the Hong Kong Urology Clinic.

Dr Tam has focused his clinical and research interest on Robotic Urological Surgery, the treatment of prostate cancer, bladder cancer and kidney cancer as well as male infertility. He was the Director of Robotic Surgery Programme at Queen Mary Hospital from 2007 to 2011.

Dr Tam is also actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate training. He is currently the Honorary Clinical Professor of The University of Hong Kong. He was Vice-President of The College of Surgeons of Hong Kong (2008-2013) and Chairman of the Urology Board of The College of Surgeons of Hong Kong (2002-2010).

Ivan CF TSANG

Dr. CF Tsang graduated from the University of Hong Kong. He received training in urology in Queen Mary Hospital. He held fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, College of Surgeons of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. He has been with Queen Mary Hospital and the University of Hong Kong since 2009.

 Dr. Tsang is currently a consultant urologist in Queen Mary Hospital and honorary clinical associate professor of the University of Hong Kong. He was devoted in education and training and has been the course director of the annual Masterclass in Laparoscopic Urological Surgery jointly organized by the European Association of Urology (EAU) School of Uro-technology and the University of Hong Kong. Dr. Tsang’s main interest is in minimal invasive and robotic surgery, endoscopic enucleation of prostate and renal transplantation.

Dr. Francis Wong is a promising urologist with special interest in kidney cancer surgeries. He completed his M.B.B.S. degree in 2013 from The University of Hong Kong and obtained his fellowship in 2021 from The College of Surgeons of Hong Kong and The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Throughout his academic and professional journey, Dr. Wong has been recognized for his excellence and dedication to the field of urology. In 2016, he was awarded the HKICBSC Membership Examination Award as the most outstanding candidate for the Membership Examination of the Hong Kong Intercollegiate Board of Surgical Colleges Part 3 OSCE. In 2021, he received the CH Leong Medal & Scholarship as the most outstanding candidate of the RCSEd/CSHK Joint Specialty Fellowship Examination in Urology. Ms. WONG Wing Shan, Jasmine serves as the Associate Nurse Consultant in Urology in NTEC. Kenneth CW WONG

Dr Wong received his medical training at the University of Cambridge, UK, and subsequently practised at several tertiary institutions, including the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, Northwood, and the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. He returned to Hong Kong in 2008 to pursue a career in oncology and completed his residency in clinical oncology at the Prince of Wales Hospital.

He is actively engaged in clinical research and serves as a principal investigator or co-investigator in multiple phase II–IV clinical trials, primarily on novel therapeutic agents and stereotactic radiotherapy in genitourinary cancers. He has published more than 30 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, with work featured in Nature Reviews Clinical Oncology and Cancer Treatment Reviews. His research on post-ablation stimulated
thyroglobulin in differentiated thyroid carcinoma received the Hong Kong Journal of Radiology Award for Best Original Paper.

Dr Wong has undertaken overseas training in genitourinary oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital, UK, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, USA, under the Hospital Authority Corporate Scholarship Programme. He is a council member of the Hong Kong Society of Uro-Oncology and the Hong Kong Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Study Group, and has contributed to postgraduate education through his role as Honorary Secretary of the Scientific Subcommittee of the Hong Kong College of Radiologists. He also serves on the editorial board of the Asia Pacific Journal of Oncology – Hong Kong Supplement.

A graduate of the University of Hong Kong, Dr. Wong Ting Fung serves as Specialist Urologist at Queen Mary Hospital, with clinical expertise in reconstructive surgery, urological oncology, and robotic surgery. As clinical lead for the territory’s reconstructive urology service, he has introduced the Adjustable Transobturator Male System (ATOMS) for male urinary incontinence, along with advancing urethroplasty and robotic-assisted urinary tract reconstructions.

Dr. Wong shares his expertise internationally through initiatives like the HKU Male Incontinence Masterclass, fostering global surgical knowledge exchange. His dedication to advancing urological care led him to complete specialized post-fellowship training in reconstructive techniques at Sydney’s Macquarie University Hospital and Shanghai Sixth People’s Hospital.

Committed to surgical education, Dr. Wong serves as faculty for Laparoscopic Urology courses and actively contributes to the Young Urology Section of the Hong Kong Urological Association. His academic work includes authoring textbook chapters on penile cancer and incontinence management, with research presentations at international conferences such as the American Urological Association Congress.

Through clinical innovation, education, and collaboration, Dr. Wong strives to enhance urological care and improve patient outcomes.

Professor Janelle Yorke is a nurse academic who specialises in cancer and other life-limiting illness, with particular research expertise in self-management interventions to improve quality of life. She earned her PhD from the University of Salford, Manchester UK. Prior to relocating to Hong Kong in January 2024 to accept the appointment as Professor Chair in Nursing and Head, School of Nursing at PolyU, she was a senior academic at University of Manchester UK for 12 years, including Inaugural Chair of Cancer Nursing. In addition to her academic role, she was appointed Executive Chief Nurse March 2020, The Christie NHS Foundation Trust (a comprehensive cancer centre). Professor Yorke is a Hong Kong Government Global STEM Professor, the only nursing academic to receive such an honour and was bestowed Angel S.P. Chan Endowed Professor in Health Longevity.

Professor Yorke is an internationally renowned expert in the development and clinical-implementation of electronic Patient Reported Outcome Measures (ePROMs). This work includes symptom specific and quality of life measures that have been translated into more than 50 different languages. She was the Chair the Christie Hospital ePROM group, leading the implementation of e-PROMs into routine oncology clinical care. Her other research areas include the development and evaluation of complex interventions to support patients to self-manage distressing symptoms including refractory dyspnea, cough, fatigue and anxiety. She has held many competitive grants in this area including NIHR, Cancer Research UK, Marie Curie Research and Innovate UK. She is Associate Editor for European Journal of Cancer Nursing (EJON) and was recently elected Secretary of the International Dyspnea Society. She is committed to the education of nurses and allied health practitioners and has received numerous awards for her supportive leadership to develop health workers. 

Jeffrey MH YU

Dr. Jeffrey Yu is currently a Consultant in the Urology Team of the Department of Surgery at Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2012 and obtained his Fellowship in Urology from the Hong Kong College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2020.

Dr. Yu has a special interest in endourology, minimally invasive, and uro-oncological surgeries. He is also the co-director of the Minimal Access Surgery Training Centre, responsible for the Basic and Advanced Laparoscopic and Endourology Courses, as well as the application of 3D printing in surgery. In 2024, he was awarded the Hospital Authority Young Achiever Award for his contributions to clinical services.

Ming Kwong YIU

Dr. Yiu is Honorary Consultant in Urology of the Hong Kong Sanatorium and Hospital. He was the Chief of the Division of Urology at the University of Hong Kong, Queen Mary Hospital from 2011 to 2017. He received his medical education at The University of Hong Kong and started his Surgical Training in Hong Kong. He obtained his Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1989 and Diploma in Urology from the University of London in 1995. He was the Chief of Urology in Princess Margaret Hospital from 2007-2011 and was subsequently moved to QMH to lead the Urology Division since September 2011. Besides general urological operations, his current interests and expertise include Laparoscopic and Robotic Urology, Management of Kidney and Prostate Cancer disease, Pediatric Urology.

He is the Honorary Clinical Professor in Surgery in the University of Hong Kong. He is the Foundation Fellow of the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong as well as The Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. He has been the President of Hong Kong Urological Association 2008-2010, the Honorary Treasurer of the Hong Kong Society of Transplantation 2009-2013. He was the Program Director of the Urology Board of the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong from 2009 till 2017. He was also the Council Member of the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong from 2016- 2019.

Victor HW YEUNG

Dr. Yeung earned his bachelor's degree in Biophysics from Johns Hopkins University in the USA, subsequently pursuing his medical degree at the University of Hong Kong. Following his graduation, he embarked on a career as a urological trainee and ultimately attained his fellowship in 2013. He was later promoted to the position of associate consultant and appointed as an honorary clinical assistant professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. In 2017, he established his own private practice in Causeway Bay.

In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Yeung is a dedicated researcher, having published numerous articles in various international journals. He has also presented at multiple conferences and was honored with the best poster presentation award at the 14th Urological Association of Asia Congress in 2016. Furthermore, he has developed a wallmounted urinal designed to measure men's urinary flow rate, which is now patented in both Hong Kong and China. This innovative design reduces patient embarrassment
during urination while using the traditional funnel for flow rate examinations. In 2019, it received the Gold Award at the FITMI Asian International Innovation Technology Exhibition.

Dr. Yeung is actively involved in several medical societies and alumni associations. He currently serves as the President Emeritus of the Johns Hopkins University Hong Kong Alumni Association. Additionally, he holds the position of Vice-President of both the Hong Kong Medical Association and the Hong Kong University Medical Alumni Association. He is also the treasurer of the Society of Practising Urologists, as well as the chairperson of the Ethics Committee and a council member of the Medical Council of Hong Kong, the Federation of Medical Societies of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Society of Endourology.

Steffi KK YUEN

Dr. Steffi Yuen graduated from the The University of Hong Kong. Since joining the urology faculty team at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and New Territories East Cluster, Dr Yuen’s main area of interest encompasses endourology and minimally invasive surgery. She has been awarded the Dr Li Shu Fan Professorship by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Her vast exposure gives her first-hand experience in the latest technologies, upcoming trends and skills in endoluminal endourology. She is excited to bring about this new era of endourology - the innovations of flexible ureteroscopes, next generation of flexible and navigable ureteral access sheaths (FANS), direct in scope suction (DISS) and laser technology, intrarenal pressure (IRP) and intrarenal temperature (IRT) monitoring flexible ureteroscopes and intelligent pressure regulating platforms, as well as the emerging robotic RIRS and PCNL platforms. Dr Yuen has helped built and pioneered the LUTS/BPE pathway in her hospital cluster, bringing together the whole spectrum of MIST – from Rezum, Urolift, iTIND, Aquablation to enucleation of prostates to LUTS/BPE patients. She is also a certified trainer for Rezum, Urolift and Asia's first certified trainer for iTIND. Steffi is involved with urology education and has brought about international exchange and collaborations, serving as an associate member of EAU endourology Research and Publications working group, IAU vice-chairperson of youth committee, AUSTEG core committee member, SIU Innovator, AUSET associate member and Japanese Urological Association (JUA) scholar.

And also hope I can participate in laparoscopic urological procedures as well as varies types of endourological procedures for general urology conditions. I wish I could one day become an endourologist and excel in surgical technique as well as academic achievement. 

Teaching and Academic 
I hope I can participate in research of endourology subspecialty and urological stone disease and hope can contribute to this field and also pass the knowledge to the next generation. I am willing to teach my junior the way we practice and the reason behind. I am also interested in teaching medical students to introduce urology general conditions and basic principles.
